Projects
Willesden Local History Society
I have been involved with the Willesden Local History Society since 2000. I am currently Chair and Journal Editor. As well as editing, designing and organising the printing of the Journal, I regularly research and write articles on local history. I also create and conduct local history tours and present talks. For the latest events and dates, see the calendar on the home page.
Brent Heritage Walks and Trails
In 2021/22 I developed a series of local history walks and presentations for Brent Heritage Walks and Trails, a project which is part of Being Brent – Heritage for Health and Wellbeing, a project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and delivered by Brent Museum and Archives.
Publications
In 2014 I was part of the team that created the publication Willesden Local History Society: 40 Years of History. I also research and published a self guided walk leaflet on Willesden High Road. These are available from the publications page of the Willesden Local History Society website.
In 2020 I researched a series of articles Uncovering Kilbrun’s History for Wembley Matters blog, which was later archived for the Brent Museum and Archives.
Public Speaking
I have done several talks for Kilburn Library.
In 2021 I took part in local history panel for the Queen’s Park Book Festival.
